The twelfth annual NIMFest music series will begin Sunday, July 1 from 3:00-6:00pm and consecutive Sundays through August 26 at King Park, Wellington Avenue, Newport. Concerts are free and feature local or regional performers in a variety of musical styles. Brunch Belly food truck and lawn seating available, bring a chair or blanket.

The kickoff concert is Sunday, July 1 from 3-6pm with Irish folk duo, Ramblin’ Rhode and guest vocalist Carrigan Nelson; singer/songwriter/guitarist Grace Morrison; and acoustic folk music trio the Slackwater String Band.

Award-winning singer/songwriter Grace Morrison performs on the national festival circuit and her song video broadcast on the American Idol finale. Her set is 4pm at the NIMFest Kickoff Concert, Sunday, July 1, 3-6pm at King Park, with folk music duo Ramblin’ Rhode at 3pm and the acoustic masters Slackwater String Band at 5pm.

Presented by the City of Newport, the NIMFest series is made possible by a contribution from the Hamilton Family Foundation. There are no rain dates.
