Dropkick Murphys/Flogging Molly Saturday at Bold Point (East Providence)

Two top “Celtic Punk” bands arrive at Bold Point Saturday evening for a kick ass summer night of fun! Dropkick Murphys have become one of Boston’s most successful bands ever, playing to stadiums and arenas regularly with hits including Fenway favorite “Shippin’ Up to Boston,” “Rose Tatoo” and “Tessie.” They’ll be joined by fellow Celtic Punks Flogging Molly Saturday night for what will undoubtedly be one of the more memorable events of the summer! “Newport to Nashville” Thursday (Newport)

The “Newport to Nashville” series continues tonight at the Newport Playhouse. “Newport to Nashville” is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing space for musicians and fans to enjoy music. The goal of Newport To Nashville is to showcase local and national songwriters performing original songs. Tonight’s originals include Jacob Paul Allen, Matt York, Terry Kitchen, and Thomas Signoretti. Music starts around 6PM. Details here.

Real Estate Friday at Coumbus Theatre (Providence)

We’re big fans of the indie-pop sound of Real Estate, the New Jersey band with a growing following. Their hard to define style builds on 70’s harmonies updated for the 21st century along with mellow guitars that provide a warm, yet cerebral listening experience. Summer Solstice Festival Saturday (Cumberland)

Our Festival of the Week is the Blackstone River Theatre Summer Solstice Festival Saturday in Cumberland. The annual festival features music from around the world on four stages including a kids stage. Highlights this year include The Gothard Sisters, the Mari Black Celtic Band and Atwater-Donnelly Trio. The Mavericks and Brian McKenzie Saturday At Indian Ranch (Webster, MA)

Take a trip back in time to our favorite venue out in the middle of nowhere, Indian Ranch in Webster, MA. Head out into the woods Saturday afternoon for a show with insurgent country stars The Mavericks along with opener Rhode Island native Brian McKenzie. Show starts at 12:30PM – details here.

Karma Rocket Tall Teenagers Saturday at Parlour (Providence)

Prepare to rock out Saturday night at the Parlour in Providence with a triple bill featuring three of the area’s top bands.
