Sail Newport invites the community to join them on Sunday, April 22nd at @ The Deck on Waite’s Wharf for a Heineken Watch Party – an event to celebrate the Leg 8 Start of the Volvo Ocean Race from Itajai, Brazil to Newport, Rhode Island.
Brad Read, Executive Director of Sail Newport, will narrate the pre-start and start action along with the live stream from the Volvo Ocean Race. Heineken, Heineken Light, and Strongbow will be featured at the party from a cash bar. Complimentary snacks will also be served. @The Deck will also have its full kitchen open at 11:00 a.m. with a menu by Chef Matthew Holmes and entertainment by “The Inn Keepers”.
The Heineken Watch Party starts at 12 Noon with no cover charge and, with free parking available. Race Start is a 1 p.m. from Itajai, Brazil.
The 2018 Volvo Ocean Race Newport Stopover Race Village will be open from May 8th – May 20th at Fort Adams State Park.
