Newport Public Schools announces that Parent Conferences will be held on March 13, 14, & 15th, 2018. Over the weekend, the Teachers’ Association of Newport (the teacher’s union), placed an ad with incorrect times in a local newspaper, according to the release.

The conferences will be held during the hours of 1:00 – 6:00 pm. to enable as many families and parents to attend as possible. Conference sign up forms are posted on all schools’ websites, as well as the main Newport Public Schools website, as well as being available through the resource folder of the One Newport app. If you have not received a conference time, please email your child’s teacher or his or her principal for assistance. This will be a no school day for students.

All teachers will be reporting to work at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the conferences and buildings will be open at 12:30 for parents and family members to arrive. We look forward to seeing all parents and family members on conference days.

Newport Public Schools announces that the Teachers’ Association of Newport and the Newport School Committee have reached an agreement and Parent Conferences will be held at 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. on March 13*, 14, & 15th, 2018. *At the time of this announcement, due to the pending snow storm, Rogers High School Conferences will be canceled for March 13 and reschedule in the near future.
