Newport Snow Storm

In preparation for the predicted winter storm, the City of Newport would like to alert residents that weekly trash and recycling collection service will be delayed one additional day beginning Thursday, January 4, 2018 to accommodate the New Year’s Holiday and the storm delay.   The adjusted schedule is as follows:

For the week of January 1 to 6, 2018:  Typical Wednesday collections will take place on Friday, January 5 and Thursday collections will take place on Saturday, January 6.  Typical Friday collections will take place Monday, January 8, 2018.

For the week of January 8 to 13, 2018:  Collection will incur a one day delay for the entire week typical to a Monday holiday schedule.  Please adjust schedules to accommodate this temporary modification to the collection program.
