The Jane Pickens Theater and Event Center has announced a special screening on Thursda, Jan. 28th at 1 p.m of Exhibition on Screen: David Hockney at Royal Academy of Arts.
This is yet another exciting installment of the dozens of in-depth behind-the-scenes documentaries shown at The JPT known as “Exhibitions on Screen.” The focus of this next event is on major British artist David Hockney. and will showcase two of Mr. Hockney’s much-lauded exhibitions, in 2012 and 2016, at London’s magnificent Royal Academy of Arts.
Director Phil Grabsky has outdone himself once more, securing intimate interviews with Hockney while crafting a visual story and tour for art lovers or anyone who appreciates cultural history. David Hockney is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. A crucial contributor to the 60’s “pop art” movement, his versatility as an artist and photographer has been celebrated for many decades. His work has been showcased in major museums the world over, in Paris, New York, London and D.C
