As the holiday season fast approaches,  The Jane Pickens Theater and Event Center wishes to remind that you can now give your loved ones the magic of a very unique experience at our historic local art house cinema.

Whether it’s a gift card in any amount you see fit, a yearly membership (which now includes 2 free movie passes per membership!) or tickets to one or more of our upcoming special engagements, the JPT has you covered for the movie lovers on your Christmas list.

If you’re unable to travel to the cinema, no worries! Every step to purchase a gift card or annual membership can be completed online. Gift cards and new memberships can be mailed or new members can come to the theater at their convenience to pick up their shiny new card.  Memberships ($40 for seniors and $60 for everyone else) also include $2 off every movie, access to special events and discounts from participants from over 50 cinemas as part of the Arthouse Visiting Member Program.

A sample of some upcoming experiences to share with family and friends include current Oscar buzz films, streaming performances from the National Theater in London, presentations of the Bolshoi Ballet from Moscow, Exhibition on Screen about artists David Hockney or Paul Cezanne,  upcoming Fantastic Mr. Fox Party for Wes Anderson lovers and the very romantic annual summertime screenings of the iconic 1974 film The Great Gatsby, which includes a tour of the Rosecliff mansion where it was filmed and a continental breakfast.  This is just a slice of what’s to come.  Check out www.janepickens.com/shows for a full listing (with new events added often).

And while you’re visiting the historic movie palace in the heart of Newport’s Washington Square, don’t forget our amazing assortment of gourmet and local confectionaries.

Purchase gift cards, tickets and memberships at www.janepickens.com or our box office at 49 Touro in Newport
