The Boston Celtics announced on Friday, September 15th that they will kick-off (or tip-off) their 2017 season with a training camp in Newport, which includes three days of practice at Salve Regina University.

in Newport, Rhode Island starting on Tuesday, September 26, the team announced on Friday. The sessions, which will be held at the Rodgers Recreation Center on the campus of Salve Regina University, will be held on September 26th – 28th.

The team will resume training camp at their practice facilities in Waltham on Friday, September 29.

The Celtics’ last held training camp at Salve in 2008.

Just last week, the Boston Celtics and National Grid teamed up to unveil their newly renovated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) lab at Aquidneck School in Middletown.
