Where do 6 of the 7 candidates for Senate District 13 stand on important local and statewide issues?

Those were the topics of What’sUpNewp’s Senate District 13 Candidate Forum at Jane Pickens Thater & Events Center on Monday night.

Several hundred concerned Newport and Jamestown voters showed up at the historic theater to hear from and about the candidates one week before the Democractic Primary. The event was hosted by What’sUpNewp, supported by Jane Pickens Theater and moderated by Ian Donnis from Rhode Island Public Radio, Ted Nesi from WPRI and Frank Prosnitz from What’sUpNewp, What’sUpRhodeIsland and AM 1540 WADK.

A heartfelt thank you to all the candidates, moderators, volunteers and attendees for their time, attention and efforts on Monday night.

What’sUpNewp especially thanks, Jane Pickens Theater  for donating the space to us to host this very important community event.
