Alton James Rego, 92, of Portsmouth died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center in Newport, RI.
Mr. Rego was born June 12, 1925 in Portsmouth, RI. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Semas) Rego.
Alton was a truck driver most of his life, working for various local trucking companies.
He is survived by his brother, Herbert Rego of Portsmouth, RI.
Calling hours will be held on July9, 2017 from 2-4pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road in Portsmouth.
His funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 4pm in the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
