Charles P. Fortier, age 94, of Charlestown died Wednesday, June 21, 2015 at his home. Mr. Fortier was born July 23, 1922 in Brockton, MA. He is the son of the late Peter and the late Ethel (Stearns) Fortier. He married the late Ruth (Wohlen) Fortier.

Charles managed retail stores for his career, beginning with the Bell Shops and ending with Ames.

In addition to his parents Charles is predeceased by his grandson Dillon Daniels, his sisters Elsie Barnes and Eleanor Robinson, and is brothers Herbert Fortier and Leslie Fortier.

He is survived by: his son Charles J. Fortier; his daughter Jane Daniels and her husband Brian; his former daughter in-law Kimberly Fortier; his grandson Charles A. Fortier and his wife Grace; his grandson Farin Daniels, his Granddaughter Chrystal Emery and his husband Patraic; his great grandson Braeden Emery; his sister Lorraine Perry; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 27 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. The funeral will follow at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27 at Connors Funeral Home. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
