The Company has been invited to join other ballet companies and choreographers at Green Street Studios’ first Ballet Showcase, Friday and Saturday, April 21 & 22 at 8pm; Sunday, April 22 at 6pm. Island Moving Company’s Great Friends Touring Project continues with a visit to Kansas City to perform with Owen/Cox Dance, the resident guest company at last summer’s Great Friends Dance Festival in Newport.  IMC will perform with Owen/Cox in Inland Roads at the Folly Theatre at 300 W. 12th Street in Kansas City, Missouri on May 6th at 8pm.  The tour to Kansas City will include a performance at the performing arts high school, Paseo High School, and a workshop and open audition for professional dancers on Friday, May 5th. On June 30th, Island Moving Company will perform at Bryant Park Presents Contemporary Dance: a festival of modern dance and contemporary ballet held in Bryant Park in New York.  The invitation came from New York-based artists performing at the Great Friends Dance Festival, affording the Company its first opportunity to perform in New York since 2012.  The Company will join three other companies yet to be announced.  Keep updated with the festival, presented free, at
