Here at The Wharf Pub we like to feature a ‘Brewery Of The Month’, for March we’ve chosen Wicked Weed Brewing.

The Brewery & Brewpub
Located in downtown West Asheville, Wicked Weed started booming around 2015. Starting small with their brewpub, Wicked Weed fastly grew within a year just producing beer for North Carolina. The brewpub which features eclectic southern style food and their own craft beer on the first floor then you can mosey on down to the second floor where wicked weed features 25 of their Limited Releases, Nitro and Cask beers. If you’re just visiting, pop into their bottle shop where you can buy a variety of merchandise and of course, beer.

The Funkatorium

On your next stop don’t forget to check out Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium that is located in the brewery district right in downtown Asheville. They’re Funkatorium is the East Coast’s first Funky & Sour barrel aged facility. This location also features a small food menu of special artisanal sandwiches and flatbreads to pair with the funky style beers.

As of 2017, Wicked Weed has come to Rhode Island! As they are growing, their beer is limited so catch Wicked Weed on our draft lines every so often. Here is what we have currently from the brewery and what we’ve had in the past:

Wicked Weed Hop Cocoa – 6.5% Hop Cocoa is a collaboration with French Broad Chocolate Lounge out of Asheville, North Carolina that is made with Dutch Cocoa Powder and Cocoa Nibs giving it a silky finish.

The Past

Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA – 7.3% Pernicious is aggressively hopped with subtle fruit notes that has a clean finish

Wicked Weed Xibalba (she-bahl-bah) 8.2% Imperial Pumpkin ale brewed with Cocoa nibs, Ancho, Serrano and Habanero Chilies.
