With a March snowstorm hitting the state, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA)h as announced detours on fifteen routes. RIPTA will keep the public updated on detours and delays throughout the day as it is expected that accumulating snow and unplowed secondary roads will make it difficult for RIPTA vehicles to travel safely in some areas. Currently, Routes 6, 18, 21, 27, 29, 35, 55, 56, 60, 63, 64, 66, 67, 71 and 92 are on detour.
