Carol S. (Sherman) Carr, 79, of Middletown, RI, died on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.
She was the wife of the late Frank C. Carr.
Born on June 3, 1937 in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Martha (Peckham) Sherman.
Mrs. Carr received her Master’s in Education at Southern Connecticut State College and taught both home economics and special education. She and her husband returned to Middletown in the mid-1980s after a couple of decades away, when they lived in Wallingford, CT.
She is survived by her son, David F. Carr and his wife, Elizabeth, of Coral Springs, FL; her brother, David Sherman, of Stonington, CT; and her grandchildren, Marie Carr, Stephen Carr, and Theresa Carr.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be private.
