The Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA) and the Undersea Technology Innovation Center (UTIC) are launching a series of technology talks to explore and share defense and undersea technologies, applications and opportunities.  The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWC Division Newport) is the first to conduct several technology talks that highlight upcoming opportunities, as well as areas of technical focus at the Warfare Center.

Two events have already been conducted in 2017 – the Large Displacement Undersea Underwater Vehicle (LDUUV) Acquisition Strategy Discussion and the Annual Naval Technology Exercise (ANTX 2017) and Narragansett Bay Test Facility Overview.  Attendance for each event was at capacity.

In the coming months, NUWC Division Newport and large prime contractors will present overviews of their programs and technology challenges, providing insight to opportunities and technologies that are being explored and developed.  Companies and organizations with defense and undersea technologies are welcome to attend.

“SENEDIA and UTIC are committed to bringing insight to the defense and undersea technology clusters in Rhode Island,” said Molly Magee, Executive Director, SENEDIA.  “Understanding technology capabilities and requirements is at the heart of creating opportunities to grow our businesses and create high-paying jobs.”
