Irish Heritage Month is a celebration of all things Irish throughout the month of March with music, lectures, tours, food, and, of course, the 61st annual parade in honor of St. Patrick on Saturday, March 11.

Peter Martin has curated the following calendar of event for Newport Irish Heritage Month, it was his goal to include ‘All Things Irish’ that will be occurring in the Newport area during the month of March. That includes Ancient Order of Hibernian events, including the Newport, Rhode Island AOH Pipes & Drums, as well as, events of other organizations that support the Newport Irish culture, including: the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the The Museum of Newport Irish History, the Newport Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, the Newport Irish Heritage Association and WADK’s Irish Hours.

MARCH
Guided Tours of Fort Adams
• Historic fort constructed with Irish labor between 1824-1857.
• Tour times: 12 noon & 2:00 pm (weather permitting). Tours are one hour.
