A Middletown woman and an East Providence woman split a $50,000 PowerBall® win from the April 13, 2016 drawing, according to Rhode Island Lottery.

They both plan to use their winnings to pay some bills. Their ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number to win the standard $50,000 payout. Total Market, 970 Willett Ave., Riverside, sold the winning ticket. The identification of the women was not disclosed.

A Newport man claimed a $50,000 top prize on the “$50,000 Fortune” Instant Game. He said he plans to use the money won towards a down payment on a house. Cumberland Farms, 125 Broadway, Newport, sold the winning ticket. The identification of the Newport man was not disclosed.

A Smithfield man won $20,000 playing the “$1,000,000 Scratch” Instant Game. He said he will use the money won to visit family in Florida. Smithfield Mobil, 354 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, sold the winning ticket.
