The future for KJ’s Pub and Restaurant, located at 59 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown, continues to be a bit of a mystery.

KJ’s was placed on the market last week for $1,390,000, the listing price includes the building, business and liquor license.

The current owners, John Gullison and Bonnie Zimble, had announced recent plans to construct a four-story hotel (18 rooms) with an accessory restaurant on the property. in January those plans were held for Development Plan Review.  Minutes of the late-January and February meeting and the decisions that were made are currently not available online.

On January 10th, those plans were held by Middletown’s Zoning Board of Review for Development Plan Review.  Minutes of the January 24th and February meeting are currently not available online for review. A request for comment from a representative of KJ’s was not immediately responded to on Monday.
