With a forecast of 2 – 4″ of snow expected in our area, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Newport County.

The Winter Weather Advisory, which is also in effect for Washington County and Southeastern Massachusetts, will remain in effect from 12 p.m. on Tuesday until 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Commuters should be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
