There’s at least two storm systems that could bring snow to Aquidneck Island this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The first chance of snow is between Thursday evening at 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday evening. the National Weather Service is forecasting that Newport will likely see 2″ of snow, but there is the potential to see up to 5″.

The greatest chance of snow is mainly after 11 p.m. on Thursday and before 11 a.m. on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The second chance of snow this weekend is Saturday into early Sunday morning, the National Weather Service predicts several inches of snow is possible.

Snow likely before 10am, then a slight chance of snow showers between 10am and 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday
A chance of snow showers before 4pm, then a slight chance of snow showers after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. North wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
