Our site doesn’t have a paywall and all of our content and newsletters are always free to read.

Instead, reader support and advertising from local businesses power our locally owned, independent newsroom. If you like what we do, a contribution of $8/month means more than you’d think, and any amount helps.

Keeping up with what’s happening and new with Newport businesses can be tough, we decided to do something about it in order to help you (and us) keep track of all that’s happening in the City-By-The-Sea.

This is ‘Newport Business News’, a weekly column where we keep you in the know of what’s happening with stores, restaurants, businesses and other news that you should know about.

If you have tips about businesses opening or closing, or doing something worth sharing, e-mail us at Ryan@whatsupnewp.com.
