Localized heavy snow squalls are possible in our area through late this evening and may result in brief whiteout conditions and hazardous travel, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered snow showers are expected into this evening along and ahead of an arctic cold front. In addition, a few localized heavy snow squalls may result in brief whiteout conditions along with
roads quickly becoming snow covered and slippery. Motorists traveling through the evening hours should be prepared for localized heavy snow squalls, resulting in briefly near zero visibility along with roads quickly becoming snow covered.

According to the National Weather Services latest forecast, the chance of precipitation is 40% with little or no snow accumulation expected.

The National Weather Service issued the Special Weather Statement at 1:13 p.m. on December 15th for all of Southeastern New England, including;
