The Tropical Storm Warning that was in effect for Newport County over the last 24 hours has been cancelled by the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued the cancellation of the Tropical Storm Warning at 11.am.

The forecast for the remainder of the day calls for a chance of showers with patchy fog possible before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. East wind 21 to 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
