Fortress Of Nightmares, Newport’s premier haunted attraction, will return to Fort Adams State Park on October 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th and 30th. The event is scheduled to take place nightly from 7pm-10pm.

Fortress of Nightmares is a fundraiser to benefit The Fort Adams Trust, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Each haunt season, The Fort Adams Trust awards over 2,000 hours of community service to area volunteers through Fortress of Nightmares. Volunteers, age 16 or older, are needed now through October, and positions include Actors, Construction, Makeup, and Security. Shifts are available from 4-11pm on October 21-23, & 28-30. Volunteers should sign up in advance, and must sign a waiver, if under 18, a parent or guardian must sign on behalf of the volunteer.

Those interested in volunteering should sign up at www.fortressofnightmares.org/volunteer.

The 2016 event will feature Tunnels Of Terror, Mayhem 3D, Paranormal and Turned, for more information on the four attractions that make up this year’s Fortress Of Nightmares or  to purchase tickets visit www.halloween.fortadams.org.
