Raymond J. “Butch” Bidlack, 69, of Wapping Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Boston Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Marie Francis Bidlack.

Born in Newport on June 28, 1947. He was a son of the late Raymond L. and Gertrude (Pinheiro) Bidlack.

Butch was the owner and operator of Marine, Machine and Welding on Aquidneck Island from 1984 to 2007. He loved old cars, traveling to the Southwest where he had traveled there 19 times, passionate about his motorcycles and especially his German Shepherds.

Besides his wife Marie, he leaves his sons, Robert M. Bidlack and his wife Holly of Wilmington, NC, Jonathan R. Bidlack and his wife Bridget of Westport, CT. His sister Karen A. Hebert of Portsmouth, RI and his brothers Michael J. Bidlack and his wife Kathy of Middletown, RI, Robert D. Bidlack and his wife Helen of Las Vegas, NV and Kenneth D. Bidlack and Amanda of Nantucket, MA. Grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Kaylie, Stone and Keegan. Butch’s German Shepherds, Tia, Jethro, Newly and Katie Cat. Many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4-7pm in the O’Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport. A Graveside Service will be on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Middletown Four Corners Cemetery, on Turner and Wyatt Rds. Middletown at 12 noon.
