Fimp’s Fave Five is back, Fimp’s Fave Five is here to tip you off on five new and/or great craft beers that are worth picking up at the liquor store, searching for around the city or stopping into The Wharf Pub and giving a try over the next week!
1 – Allagash Little Brett (Portland, ME) ABV: 4.5% – Dry hopped with 100% Mosaic Hops and fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. This beer has bursting flavors of pineapple, and notes of fresh grass with a mild tartness on the end. Only available for a limited time!
2 – Harpoon Arctic Ale (Boston, MA) ABV: 13.0 % – Come warm up with Harpoon’s Dark ale aged in Bourbon Barrels with notes of chocolate, dark fruit, with rich malt character on the end.
3 – Dogfish Midas Touch (Mildford, DE) ABV: 9.0% – Ancient Ale made with ingredients from a 2,700 year old drinking vessel from the Tomb of King Titus. Aged with Wine and Mead to compliment those Chardonnay drinkers.
4 – Heavy Seas & Troegs Independent Brewery Hopplebock (Baltimore, MD) ABV: 8.0% – A hoppy strong amber lager a part of Heavy Seas Partnership Series, Gives us an opportunity to have Troegs right here on the Wharf. Made with German hops and locally grown malts out of Maryland.
5 – Buzzards Bay Golden Horseneck IPA (Westport, MA) ABV: 6.0% – Golden ale dry hopped with three different golden malts and locally grown cascade hops from Carpenter Ranch in Westport, MA.

Kick off Folk Fest weekend with Lagunitas on the Porch Wednesday July 20th. Lagunitas will be on the deck giving away tickets to the fest from 6-9 PM along with other goodies from the brewery.
