Listen To The Open Forum with Ryan Belmore Every Weekday on WADK 1540 AM from 12:30pm to 2pm

It was a busy Friday edition of The Open Forum, to start the show we brought you live audio of Vice President Joe Biden speaking in East Providence, Rhode Island about RhodeWorks.

Following what was a longer than expected speech from the VP, we turned the conversation another infrastructure topic of the week- the proposed legislation to raise the meal and beverage tax in Newport and Middletown. Matt Plumb from Brick Alley Pub called in to the show to give us his opinion from a restaurant owners point of view.

Andy Green, a Sailing Commentator and Announcer, joined us to chat about the upcoming World Match Racing Tour. Here we learned how the racing works, what to watch for and what to expect as the WMRT comes to town.
