On Thursday, May 26, Newport Public Schools’ Elementary andThompson Middle School Physical Education Department will hold it’s 27th annual Museum Tour/Tennis Clinic at the International Tennis Hall Of Fame and Museum.

“We are very fortunate, through collaboration with the International Tennis Hall of Fame, to hold this event at the world famous Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI,”, Marcin Rembisz from Newport Public Schools shared in a press release.

Newport Public Schools will be represented by fifth grade students from Thompson Middle School who have earned the opportunity to participate in this event.

Physical Education Teachers as well as tennis professionals from the International Tennis Hall of Fame will be helping elementary students with supervision and instruction. Students will tour the Tennis Hall of Fame Museum before taking part in the clinic.

The Clinic will begin at 11:30 am and conclude at 1:00 pm.

Belmore visits Newport every couple of weeks to support the 12+ paid contributors What'sUpNewp has on the ground across Rhode Island, a place he called home for 39 years.

In 2020, Belmore was named Member of the Year by LION and won the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County's Dominque Award.
