Rogers High School

Colleen Burns Jermain, Superintendent of Newport Public Schools, notified parents and the community this morning about another threat made at Rogers High School.

The latest threat to Rogers High School was received by e-mail at Rogers High School. The following communication was shared by Mrs. Jermain;

“Wednesday, February 10, 2016

Dear Parents and Community,

This morning RHS received e-mail threats to Rogers High School. In an abundance of caution, students were sent to the auditorium and gym while the Newport Police Department conducted a search of the building. No threats occurred. Students are returning to their classrooms. Please know that we are working closely with local, state and federal authorities in an effort to resolve this.”
