The Newport Folk Festival was named Music Festival Of The Year yesterday (February 12th) at the 27th Annual Pollstar Awards at the SF Masonic in San Francisco, California.
It beat out Pitchfork Music Festival (Chicago, IL), Toronto Urban Roots Festival (Toronto, ON) and Treasure Island Festival (San Francisco, CA) in a vote decided by concert industry and subscribers to Pollstar.
The 2016 Newport Folk Festival is set to take place at Fort Adams State Park on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Tickets are still available for Friday, July 22nd at www.newportfolk.org.
The Newport Folk Festival was last named Music Festival Of The Year at the 24th and 25th Annual Awards, concert year 2012 and 2014.
