Sean McNeill, a local sailing writer and public relations expert, joined Ryan Belmore, Owner/Editor of What’sUpNewp, as Co-Host on the Friday, January 15th edition of The Open Forum on 1540AM WADK Newport.

The show was jam packed with guests and started  off with an update from NBC 10‘s Tony Gugliotta on the Bristol 4th of July Parade.

Following the discussion with Tony, Sean and Ryan were joined by Jarvis Green, 2x Super Bowl Champion and former New England Patriot Defensive End, and Patrick Pass, 3x Super Bowl Champion and former New England Patriot Full Back.

The show kept on the sports theme and was then joined by Brad Read, Executive Director of Sail Newport.

Belmore visits Newport every couple of weeks to support the 12+ paid contributors What'sUpNewp has on the ground across Rhode Island, a place he called home for 39 years.

Belmore is a member of Local Independent Online News (LION) Publishers, Society of Professional Journalists, and the North American Snowsports Journalists Association.

In 2020, Belmore was named Member of the Year by LION and won the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County's Dominque Award.
