The Newport Art Museum’s annual Winter Speaker Series returns Saturday, January 9 at 2pm for its 88th season. The series, themed Innovation, will include seven lectures on a variety of topics held Saturdays at 2pm, January 9 – February 20, in the Museum’s Griswold House at 76 Bellevue Avenue, Newport.

Returning speaker Darrell West of the Brookings Institution, will kick off the series, shining a light on the 2016 election. Other speakers and topics include marine photographer Onne van der Wol, Peter Zwack on the Russian perspective of the United States, Kenneth Miller to speak on his new book, Elliot Bostwick Davis exploring Jamie Wyeth and his family, Ed Shea of the 2nd Story Theatre and Elizabeth Williams to speak on the legacy of the Gorham Silver Company. 

Each lecture will be followed by light refreshments.
