Christmas Day in Newport, R.I, believe it or not, will be here before you know it. For some of you, the thought of cooking at home, traveling, or visiting the family is simply, out of the question!
If you head out on Christmas Day, be sure to take care of those hard working staff! It doesn’t always have to be monetarily, sometimes a simple thank you, smile, hug, or expression of gratitude will do the trick.

The following restaurants in Newport will be open, serving dinner, and celebrating the holiday;
1 – One Bellevue Restaurant
The award-winning Hotel Viking and One Bellevue Restaurant is situated atop Newport’s Historic Hill neighborhood with breathtaking views of Bellevue Avenue. On Christmas Day, One Bellevue will offer Chef Thiele’s Tasting menu with a main coarse of grilled filet mignon and baked stuffed lobster tail. See The Menu $69pp at 12pm, 2pm, & 4pm.
2 – Castle Hill Inn
Castle Hill Inn will be serving up a Three Course Dinner on Christmas Day between 12:30pm – 6:30pm. See The Menu. $82 per person. Children’s menu available.
3 – Sardella’s Restaurant
Sardella’s Restaurant will be offering Chef Kevin Fitzgeralds’ regular menu as well as some holiday specials from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day.
4 – Clarke Cooke House
Clarke Cooke House will continue the tradition of being among the very few restaurants that are open 365 days a year when they open at 5pm for dinner on Christmas Day.
5 – MainSail Newport at Newport Marriott
MainSail Restaurant at Newport Marriott is offering a $30 per person dinner on Christmas Day. For More Info
6 – Saltwater Restaurant at Newport Harbor Hotel
Saltwater’s regular menu and a traditional lobster boil dinner will be served on Christmas Day at Saltwater.
7 – The Spiced Pear at Chanler
The Chanler and The Spiced Pear are celebrating Christmas with a special Brunch on Friday, December 25th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The price for Brunch is $75 per person. Call for Reservations at 401-847-2244.
8 – Vanderbilt Grace

- Benjamin’s Raw Bar – Closed during the day. Opening at night.
- Busker’s – Open at 7pm.
- Clarke Cooke House – Open after 5pm.
- Fastnet Pub – Open from 5pm to 1am.
- HOPE – Open at 8pm.
- IHOP Middletown – Open until 2pm.
- One Pelham East – Pelham X-Mas Party with DJ Blacklist. No Cover.
- Pour Judgment – Open for cocktails around 2pm. Limited food from 5pm – 10pm.
- Speakeasy Bar & Grille – Open around 6pm
- Tavern On Broadway – Open 6pm to 1am
