Thames Street Kitchen, a.k.a. “TSK”, took to their Facebook Page on Saturday, November 14th to announce they will be permanently closing.

It’s been a year of change for the Newport Restaurant scene, TSK joins Yesterday’s, Rhumbline, Canfield House, Katrinas Bakery, Perry Mill Tavern, Ocean Breeze and the Atlantic Beach Club in closing within the last 14 months, with ABC and TSK set to close on January 1st.

Ocean Breeze has reopened as Larussos, Katrinas has reopened as Cru Cafe and Perry Mill Tavern, Rhumbline and the Atlantic Beach Club will reopen under new ownership and management in 2016.

Willy’s Burger Bar also announced recently that they were for sale.

The announcement from the crew at TSK;

Dearest Customers,

With full hearts and the happiest of tears, we must announce that we have made the tough decision to close Thames Street Kitchen come January 1st. We have outgrown the space and need to put all of our time and efforts towards some exciting new projects we have been working on. It’s been a crazy ride, and we cannot thank you enough for the continued LOVE and support you have shown the four of us these past five years.

With what has been one of our best years yet, we are closing this chapter in our lives and look forward to feeding you all again in the future!

In the meantime, don’t forget to call and make a reservation before we close so we can personally say our goodbyes to everyone!!

And don’t worry Mission NPT grille is still smokin’ HOT and we look forward to seeing you all there!

Cheers! Chad Julia Anna and Tyler

What’s to come for the TSK building and the what’s ahead for the TSK team? Only time will tell, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more.
