The Arts & Cultural Alliance, in collaboration with The Preservation Society of Newport County, will present an informational seminar, “Trademarks & Copyrights for the Artist,” The seminar is free and open to all practicing artists, performers, musicians and artisans in Newport County. 5 – Adopt Your Very Own MVP
Tuesday, November 17th at Potter League For Animals
Potter League For Animals, will host a “Adopt Your Very Own MVP” event, a one-day-only Cat Adoption Special, on Tuesday , November 17th.
The first 10 cats – 2 years and older – will be offered at a $9.00 adoption fee. The standard adoption rate for a cat is usually $125.00. MORE INFO

6 – BattleChefs
Tuesday, November 17th at 8pm at Revolving Door
Rhode Island’s best chefs go toe to toe weekly and are dealt an exotic secret ingredient and 45 minutes to impress the crowd and judges. $20 per person (includes 1 drink) .

7 – Class French Food & Wine Classes: Burgundy
Wednesday, November 18th from 6pm – 9pm at Le Petit Cafe
Chef Charvet is a classically trained chef from Avignon who loves to teach! This Burgundy focused class will play on the earthier flavors of fall, squashes, mushrooms, meats and cheeses that are regionally appropriate, and for wines, pinot and chardonnay. This region bespeaks a certain quality of elegance and power that is a reflection of the import they carry in their culture; the wines and the foods of Burgundy are so elevated! MORE INFO
8 – Holiday Tasting Event
Thursday, November 19th from 5pm – 8pm at Cru Cafe

9 – Annual Meeting & Volunteer Appreciation Party

Join the Norman Bird Sanctuary Board of Directors and staff for their Annual Meeting & Volunteer Appreciation Party at Newport Vineyards on Thursday, November 19th. Together you’ll look back on another eventful year and reflect on milestones. This is also the chance to celebrate volunteers who generously donate their time and energy to the organization, while recognizing a few who deserve special acknowledgement. 10 – Documentary Short Films from the Rhode Island International Film Festival
