With the arrival of fall in Newport on Wednesday, September 23rd comes plenty to quench your thirst, make you smile and keep you full. Here’s a look at what food, beer and wine events you should be putting in your calendar!

1 – Newport Storm Beer Dinner at Smoke House on September 23rd

Smoke House will host their final Newport Storm Beer Dinner on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6pm. This “Hail To The Pig” course course dinner  is $49 per person. See the full menu HERE and make reservations by calling 401-848-9800.

2 – Two Roads Beer Dinner at Caleb & Broad on September 24th

Caleb and Broad will host a Two Roads Beer Dinner on Thursday, September 24th at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will include four courses with pairings and is $40 per person.

3 – Foolproof Brewery Tap Takeover at The Wharf Pub on September 24th

Foolproof Brewing Company will be tasting their new Peanut Butter Raincloud Porter on The Porch of The Wharf Pub on Thursday, September 24th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Wharf Pub Crew will be pouring $5 drafts, slinging $1 oysters, $2 sliders and you get a free Foolproof pint glass when you buy a pint of Peanut Butter Raincloud Porter. 

4 – Revana Vineyard Wine Dinner at One Bellevue at Hotel Viking on September 24th.

Chef Barry at One Bellevue at Hotel Viking will host a Revana Vineyard Wine Dinner on Thursday, September 24th at 7 p.m. The cost per person is $69.

5 – newportFILM & Newport Mansion Wine & Food Festival Screening on September 24th

newportFILM and Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival will host a screening of King Georges on Thursday, September 24th at 6 p.m. There will be a pre-film reception on The Elms South Terrace. Wines by Nobilo & Tom Gore + hors d’oeuvres by Blackstone Caterers + live music. 7pm – Film screening inside The Elms Ballroom, followed by Q&A. Tickets: $50. 6 – 10th Annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival on September 25th – 27th

7 – Newport Vineyards 20th Anniversary Bash

Newport Vineyards is turning 20 and you’re invited to celebrate on Sunday, September 27th with a Great Grape Stomp-Off, wine tastings and wine by the glass, live music from the Little Compton Band, photo opportunities with live statues and samples from Brix Restaurant, Fatullis Bakery & Deli and Rhody Fresh Cheese. 2pm. $22 per person. 8 – The 5th Annual Big Toast at OceanCliff on October 1st

9 – Goose Island Beer Dinner at Midtown Oyster Bar on October 7th

Midtown Oyster Bar will host their 3rd Annual Pig Roast and Beer Dinner on Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $70 per person and reservations can be made by calling Midtown at 401-619-4100.

10 – Sip & Shop at Angela Moore’s on October 9th

Sip & Shop at Angela Moore’s, Bellevue Avenue boutique on Friday, October 9th, 2015 to support the Women’s Resource Center. Between the hours of 5pm-8pm, 15% of the proceeds for that evening will go directly to support the free and confidential services that the Women’s Resource Center provides. Enjoy a glass of wine and the complete collection of Angela Moore hand painted jewelry and fashions, including new looks for fall and resort.

11 – Festa Italiana at Touro Park on October 11th

Festa Italiana returns to Touro Park on October 11th with Italian food and novelties, music, dancing, raffles. Free admission. 11am-4pm.

12  – 25th Annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival on October 17th and 18th

Bowen’s Wharf will host their 25th annual Seafood Festival on October 17th in 18th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Fresh local seafood, cold New England beer, signature cocktails accompany continuous live music, and family fun, all beneath the Wharf’s colorful tents. Cafe-style seating is set up throughout the Wharf. 14 – Dickens Christmas Feast at Newport Art Museum on December 11th

A Newport tradition, The Dickens Christmas Feast is an interactive evening of fine food, beautiful costumes, song, dance, storytelling, and plenty of Christmas cheer.  Celebrate the memories of the past, revel in the blessings of the present, and anticipate the gifts of the future.  Centered around the theme of A Christmas Carol, guests will participate in retelling this classic tale in a unique way with Newport society members and domestics. 7pm-10pm. Four-Course Heirloom Tomato Dinner & Pumpkin Dinner at One Bellevue at Hotel Viking on various dates.

One Bellevue, the award-winning restaurant at Hotel Viking in Newport, has announced a series of Fall Harvest dinners featuring the ripe, delicious, organic harvest from Rosehill Farms.

Every Friday in September, a special Heirloom Tomato dinner menu will be offered, and every Friday in October, a Pumpkin Dinner will be featured.

The Fall Harvest dinners are four-course prix-fixe menus made available in addition to the classic dinner menu. Dinners are $49 per person. Tax, gratuity and beverages are additional.
