Irrational Man

Irrational Man‘, the latest film from Woody Allen, which was filmed throughout Newport and Rhode Island in 2014, will open at Jane Pickens Theater on August 7th.

Starring Jamie Blackley, Joaquin Phoenix, Parker Posey, and Emma Stone, Irrational Man tells the story of a tormented philosophy professor who finds a will to live when he commits an existential act

Some of Newport’s most recognizable sights in this film include Salve Regina University, The Fastnet Pub, Franklin Spa and the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center.

In 2020, Belmore was named Member of the Year by LION and won the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County's Dominque Award.
