The Irish Tenors (Spectacle Live)

Spectacle Live has announced two holiday season performances at the JPT Film & Event Center in Washington Square this December, with the Irish Tenors returning by popular demand on December 9 and Canadian Brass taking the stage December 17.

The Irish Tenors — Anthony Kearns, Ronan Tynan, and Patrick Hyland — will perform Wednesday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m. in what organizers say is an added show due to overwhelming demand, bringing the total to two Irish Tenors performances at the JPT this season. The trio has been a fixture of Celtic holiday programming since a breakout 1998 PBS special, and have performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl. Their December program features Irish classics and Christmas favorites.

Canadian Brass follows on Thursday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. Widely regarded as the world’s most famous brass ensemble, the quintet has released more than 135 albums, received 24 combined Grammy and Juno nominations, and was the first brass group to perform at Carnegie Hall’s main stage and the first Western brass ensemble to perform in China. Their concerts span Baroque and Dixieland to Bach, Gershwin, Ellington, and original commissions. Their most recent album, Canadiana, features arrangements of Canadian icons including Joni Mitchell and Drake.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, August 7 at 10 a.m. at JanePickens.com or by calling 1-800-657-8774.
