Newport State Airport will host the seventh annual Newport Airport Day on Sunday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., welcoming the public for a community aviation event for all ages.

The event will feature aircraft static displays, giving visitors a close-up look at a variety of airplanes and helicopters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience helicopter rides and introductory airplane flight lessons, offering a firsthand taste of what it’s like to fly.

Families are invited to enjoy a Touch-a-Truck experience with a local fire truck, along with food trucks and ice cream trucks on site throughout the day.

Organizers said the event is designed to introduce the community to aviation in a fun, engaging and family-friendly environment. For more details, call 401-843-8687.
