Cining reservations across the property — including Forbes Five-Star Aurelia at Castle Hill and The Lawn Terrace — will be available to book via OpenTable beginning May 8, for reservations starting May 22

Castle Hill Inn announced Tuesday that dining reservations across the property will be available to book beginning May 8, marking another milestone in the Inn’s recovery from a fire that damaged the historic Mansion in February.

Reservations for Forbes Five-Star Aurelia at Castle Hill and The Lawn Terrace will be available through OpenTable starting May 8, with dining service beginning May 22.

The Inn said additional details, including chef updates and seasonal menu highlights, will be released on May 8.

The announcement comes roughly two and a half months after a fire broke out in the third-floor attic of the Mansion on the evening of Feb. 5. The Newport Fire Department, joined by crews from Middletown, Jamestown, Portsmouth, the Navy Base and neighboring communities, brought the blaze under control while safely evacuating all guests and employees.

Castle Hill reopened to registered overnight guests on March 5, with the Chalet serving as the hub of Inn operations. The Inn offered a gourmet breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, evening light bites and cocktails, and room service during the initial phase of its reopening but was unable to accommodate day visitors for drinks or dining.

The return of dining reservations signals the next step in the property’s restoration and a broader reopening to the public ahead of the summer season.
