Boys Town New England has named Marcy Shyllon as its executive director, the organization announced Monday, formalizing her leadership after a successful stint as interim director.
Shyllon, who has been with Boys Town since 2006, most recently served as senior director of program operations, overseeing the Family Home Program and Foster Family Services Program across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She stepped into the interim executive director role in September 2025.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue my journey with Boys Town, an organization that has shaped both my career and my purpose,” Shyllon said. “I’m excited to work alongside our dedicated staff, community partners and families across New England to build on our strong foundation and expand the impact of our services.”
Shyllon began her Boys Town career as a youth care worker at the organization’s Philadelphia shelter for teenage girls before relocating to New England in 2008. Over the following years, she took on a series of leadership roles, tripling the size of the Foster Care Program, launching the LIFT program, and helping the Family Home Program operate at full capacity.
She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in behavioral science and human services administration from Bellevue University, earned through a Boys Town cohort program.
“Marcy brings exceptional knowledge and a deep passion for Boys Town and the children and families we serve in the New England area,” said Robby Simard, executive vice president of youth care.
Shyllon lives in North Attleboro, Massachusetts with her husband and four children.
Boys Town New England is based in Portsmouth. The national organization reported serving more than 3.5 million children and families across the United States in 2024.
