The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority will detour three bus routes in Newport on Saturday, March 14, to accommodate the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Routes 60, 63 and 67 will operate on modified paths between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All three routes will bypass the parade route along Thames Street and America’s Cup Avenue, with detours routed through JT Connell Highway and Farewell Street.

Specific detour times by route are as follows: Route 60 (Newport/Providence) trips into the Newport Transportation Center will be detoured between 8:30 a.m. and noon, with outbound trips affected through 1:30 p.m. Route 63 (Broadway/Shopping Center) and Route 67 (Bellevue/Mansions/Salve Regina) will operate on detour for both inbound and outbound trips between 8:30 a.m. and approximately 12:15-12:20 p.m.
