Roger Federer to Play in On-Court Celebration with Hall of Famers During Class of 2026 Induction Weekend (ITHOF)

Roger Federer will return to the grass courts of the International Tennis Hall of Fame this summer, with the tennis legend set to play in a doubles exhibition during his induction weekend in Newport.

The Hall of Fame announced its 2026 Induction Celebration schedule on Tuesday, with three days of programming planned for Aug. 27-29. Federer will be inducted in the Player Category and broadcaster Mary Carillo will be inducted in the Contributor Category. Individual tickets for select events and full-weekend packages go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Federer will make a doubles appearance in the Hall of Fame Celebrity Pro Classic presented by Fidelity Investments on Friday, Aug. 28, alongside other tennis legends. With tickets starting at $90, fans will have a rare opportunity to watch Federer play on the grass surface where he achieved many of his greatest successes. Additional participants will be announced in the coming months.

New to the celebration this year is a Red Carpet Pre-Show and Watch Party, where Federer, Carillo and additional Hall of Famers will make special appearances ahead of the Induction Ceremony. Tickets to the pre-show also include access to the Watch Party, allowing fans to view the ceremony on the big screen at the stadium court.

The three-day celebration will also feature the return of several popular events, including Courting Fashion, a cocktail evening hosted at Marble House; the Fit for Fame Blazer Presentation dinner; and Fame Fest, which will take over the Hall of Fame grounds with tennis experiences, live podcast recordings, food trucks and more. The Tennis Wave, a pop-up tennis court at Bowen’s Wharf with appearances from Hall of Famers, will kick off the festivities.

Individual tickets for the Red Carpet Pre-Show and Watch Party, Hall of Fame Celebrity Pro Classic, and Courting Fashion go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. Full-weekend packages range from general programming access and the Induction Ceremony in Horseshoe Court to VIP access with a three-night stay at a premium Newport hotel.
