A Massachusetts woman has hit the jackpot twice in two months, winning $60,000 each time from the same lottery game at the same Newport store.

The lucky player from East Freetown, who remains anonymous, bought her winning tickets for the Rhode Island Mega Loteria Instant Game at the Cumberland Farms on Broadway.

After using her first $60,000 win in February 2025 to pay off bills, she’s now planning a well-deserved vacation to Spain with her latest windfall.

In other lottery news, a Cranston couple recently claimed a $25,000 a Year for Life prize from the April 19 Lucky for Life® drawing. They chose to take the lump sum payment of $390,000. The pair, who also wish to stay anonymous, said they bought the ticket on impulse at Atwood Wine & Spirits in Cranston. They’re looking forward to living more comfortably and spending quality time with their kids and grandkids.

Meanwhile, a Smithfield woman scooped up $10,000 playing The Next Rhode Island Millionaire Instant Game. She purchased her winning ticket at 3 On 7 Fuel & Convenience on Douglas Pike.
