The Boat House Restaurant in Tiverton recently teamed up with local police for a great cause. They collected toys for kids in need through the Operation Blue Santa Toy Drive, gathering over 200 gifts.
On December 10, the restaurant (part of the Newport Restaurant Group) hosted a special event. Guests who brought a new, unwrapped toy got to enjoy free appetizers and access to a cash bar. The restaurant even pitched in by donating some of the bar proceeds to the toy drive.
Dan Reid, the General Manager of Boat House, is thrilled about the partnership. “We’re really happy to be part of this community event with the Tiverton Police Department again,” he said. “Thanks to our amazing customers and staff, we’ve collected more than 200 gifts. We hope these will bring some joy to local kids.”

The event was a hit, with nearly 100 people showing up and donating over 200 toys. This is the fourth year Boat House has taken part in Operation Blue Santa.
But that’s not all – the Newport Restaurant Group, which owns Boat House, is running its yearly gift card fundraiser too. For every gift card ordered this holiday season, they’re donating $2 to local food banks and nonprofits.
