The Salvation Army has appointed Chris and Kiley Williams as its new officers for Newport, R.I. The officers are a married couple with three daughters.

Captain Chris and Captain Kiley Williams were commissioned as Salvation Army officers in 2010. They are a married couple with three daughters. Abby, 18, Sydney, 15, and Olivia, 11, are their children.

Growing up, Captain Kiley was always in awe of her parents’ work, which inspired a deep-seated desire to help people, she said. “As I grew in my relationship with God, I wanted even more to see people have that relationship with God. It’s always new, no day is the same, and that makes things exciting,” she says.

Captain Chris says he is honored to be appointed as an officer of the Salvation Army. He said he hopes to work with the community to help those in need and promote the message of hope and healing.

“New opportunities, meeting new people, seeing new growth personally and in others—these are the aspects that excite me the most about this new assignment,” Chris says.

The Newport Salvation Army says the Williams family is dedicated to serving others and looks forward to making a positive impact on the community.
