The Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant Event Center is back with The Cemetery Club this summer.
The show follows three Jewish widows as they visit their husbands’ graves.
The cast is made up of Ida, Lucille, and Doris. Ida is a sweet-tempered woman who is ready to begin a new life. Lucille is a feisty woman who wants to have fun, and Doris is a priggish and judgmental woman. The trio meet the widows while visiting Sam the butcher’s grave. Doris and Lucille squash Sam’s attempts to date Ida.
The show opens May 29th and runs through June 30th. Showtimes are Sunday – Thursday at 11 am (1 pm for Theater Only) and Friday and Saturday at 6 pm (8 pm for Theater Only). Dinner Theater guests should arrive at 11 am for matinees and 6 pm for evening shows. All Theater Only guests should arrive at 12:30 pm for matinees and 7:30 pm for evening shows.
The show runs for approximately 1.5 hours with no intermission. There is on-site parking available for the event. Tickets for The Cemetery Club are on sale now and can be purchased at newportplayhouse.com.
