Newport Mental Health announced today that its 9th Annual Golf Tournament, “Drive for Mental Health,” returns to The Aquidneck Club on June 17, 2024. This is a rare opportunity to play the private, links-style championship course designed by Donald Steel. The par 71 course is located in Portsmouth and offers breathtaking views of upper Narragansett Bay.

Horan Building Company returns as presenting sponsor and invites area businesses and avid golfers to join them in a day of support for Newport Mental Health.

“There could not be a better setting for our event,” says Dayna Gladstein, President & CEO of Newport Mental Health. “The sheer beauty of the location is the perfect backdrop to enjoy a friendly competition before relaxing and reflecting on the importance of supporting access to mental health services for everyone in Newport County. The funds raised will provide services for children, families, and adults who live in our community.”

Last year’s winning team scored an impressive 56 in the best-ball tournament, setting the stage for a shoot-out this year. After a great day of golf and a relaxing cocktail hour, participants will be treated to first-class dining in the stunning waterfront clubhouse and are invited to participate in a lively auction featuring professional auctioneer, Lucas Hunt.

Foursomes, additional dinner reservations, and limited sponsorship opportunities can be found on the event website: https://drive-for-mental-health.perfectgolfevent.com/
