The U.S. Naval War College (NWC) has graduated 19 senior naval officers from its Executive Level Operational Level of Warfare Course (ELOC), a one-week course that educates service members on the operational and tactical levels of war.
The course, which is taught three times a year, is designed to prepare senior staff officers from naval and joint commands for the challenges of operating in complex operational environments. It covers a range of topics, including the NWC’s College of Maritime Operational Warfare (CMOW) Executive Level Education, which provides the educational foundation for senior staff members.
The course also includes classified discussions with sitting Fleet Commanders to offer insights into today’s global security challenges and help the officers develop a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities as senior naval officers.
After graduating, the new officers will join an NWC network of senior naval professionals who share their experiences and perspectives on a range of topics, including maritime operations, joint operations, and international peacekeeping operations.
